Questions and answers

It is a logbook for the vials you already have. You record each vial, the water you added and each dose you draw, and it shows its arithmetic: the syringe mark for an amount, the amount a mark holds, what is left in the vial, and which injection sites have rested longest.

It never suggests an amount, a compound or a schedule. The numbers always come from what you enter.

Add the vial in front of you on the Vials tab: the compound, the strength printed on the label and, once it is mixed, the water you added. After that the + button logs doses from it, and Today shows what is left and which site is next.

Setting a schedule is optional. It lets Today show when a dose is due and can send reminders.

Yes. Settings → Appearance → Run setup again walks through the welcome, your vial and how often, without deleting anything.

Four tabs along the bottom: Today, Vials, Sites and History. The round + button beside them logs a dose.

Schedule and Settings are the two buttons at the top of Today, next to Help. Vial math opens from the Vial math link beside How much in the log sheet. Summary opens from History.

Vials → Add vial. Choose the compound (search, browse, or add a name that is not listed), enter the strength on the label in mg, and say whether water has been added yet.

If it is mixed, enter the water in mL and when you mixed it. Cost, lot number, source and storage are optional; cost is only used for spend figures and never changes a calculation.

Open the vial on the Vials tab and tap Add water, then enter the amount and the day you mixed it. Until the water is recorded, the app cannot work out units for that vial, so it will not appear in the log sheet’s vial list.

Each mixed vial counts the days since you mixed it against the Use-by days in Settings (28 unless you change it). Past that, the vial is marked Expired and the log sheet shows “Past use-by”. It is a reminder only; you can still log from it.

Changing Use-by in Settings applies to vials when their water is recorded. Vials already mixed keep the value they were given.

A vial is never finished for you. When the remaining amount reaches zero, Today says the vial is empty; open it on the Vials tab and tap Finish vial when you are done with it.

Finished vials leave the active list but stay attached to the doses logged from them. “Show finished vials” brings them back into view.

Finish it first, then open it from the finished vials and tap Delete permanently. Doses logged from it stay in your history but no longer name a vial. This cannot be undone.

Yes. On the Vials tab, the “Names you added” card has Rename next to each name you created. Built-in names cannot be changed.

Give a vial a cost when you add it, or later with Add cost on its card. History then shows total spend and a monthly rate, and the vial card shows the cost of an amount drawn from it. Leave the cost blank to stop tracking it. The currency code is in Settings.

Tap the round + button. Choose the vial you drew from, enter the units you drew, pick the site on the body map, and tap Log this dose. The time is now unless you change it.

You can also log from Today, from a vial card, from a site on the Sites tab, and from Vial math.

Either. For a mixed vial the log sheet starts on Units drawn: enter the mark you drew to and the app works out the mg from the vial’s strength and water. Switch to Amount to enter mg or mcg instead and see the mark it comes to. Both are stored the same way.

Yes. Touch the dark stopper on the syringe drawing and slide it to the mark you drew, or swipe sideways along the barrel. It snaps to whole units on a 100-unit syringe and half units on the smaller ones. Scrolling up and down past the drawing never moves it.

With VoiceOver or TalkBack, swipe up or down on the syringe to change the units.

It needs a compound and an amount greater than zero. With “No vial” chosen, pick the compound under Which compound. If the units or amount field is empty or zero, enter a value.

Units need the vial’s strength and the water you added. If “No vial” is chosen, or the vial has no water recorded yet, the sheet only takes an amount. Record the water on the Vials tab to get units.

It logs a dose against a compound without drawing down any vial, for example a dose from a vial you did not record. It takes an amount rather than units, because there is no strength and water to convert from.

A shortcut that fills in the units or amount you logged the last time for that compound. It only appears when it differs from what is already entered, and the mg version only while doses are shown in mg.

They point out arithmetic worth a second look: the mark is beyond the syringe, the mark is under 10 units (where misreading half a unit is a large share of the amount), the amount is more than the vial holds or has left, or the water is unusually large. None of them stops you logging.

History → Add past dose opens the log sheet with the date and time ready to change. Only vials that existed on that date are offered, including finished ones. Future dates cannot be chosen.

In the ordinary log sheet, tap Change under When to set a different time.

The optional note at the bottom of the log sheet is saved with that dose on this device and shows in History.

The one you are holding: 0.3 mL (30 units), 0.5 mL (50 units) or 1.0 mL (100 units). The size changes where a mark falls, so it must match your syringe. Set the everyday one under Settings → Default syringe; the log sheet and Vial math can change it for one entry.

A converter with two directions. Amount to units: from the vial strength, the water you added and an amount, it shows the syringe mark. Mark to water: from the vial strength, an amount and the mark you want it to land on, it shows how much water to add when mixing.

Pick one of your vials to fill in its numbers, or type them in. The working is shown so every figure can be checked by hand.

In Vial math, under “Will this dilution survive your whole plan?”, add each amount from the plan you are following. Each is flagged if it is more than the vial holds, beyond the syringe, or hard to read. If any are flagged, it shows a water volume that fits them all, or says that no single dilution does.

Yes. Settings → Show doses in → mcg. Doses are always stored in mg, so switching only changes how they are written. The log sheet’s Amount entry also has its own mg and mcg switch.

It appears only for compounds with a published half-life in the app (Retatrutide, Semaglutide and Tirzepatide) once at least two doses are logged. It is an estimate modelled from the half-life, not a measurement.

Settings → About → How the math works, and the same link in Vial math, open a page with every formula, source and limit the app uses.

Each site shows how long it has rested since you last used it, measured against the Site rest days in Settings (7 unless you change it). Resting means inside that period, Nearly ready is its last third, Ready is past it, and Never used has no doses. A dashed ring marks the site Vialmetry would use next: the one that has rested longest.

Yes. Resting is a warning, never a block. The log sheet tells you how many of your rest days it has had, and you can log there anyway.

Use the Front and Back switch above the body map, on the Sites tab and in the log sheet. The map is a mirror view: your left is on the screen’s left. Settings → Appearance → Body map switches between the female and male drawing; the sites are the same.

On the Sites tab, tap the site and choose Note a reaction here: soreness, lump, bruising, redness, itching or other, with a severity and an optional note. From History you can also add one to a logged dose that has a site.

When one site has taken more than a third of your last 90 days’ injections (from at least five), the Sites tab says so, so you can spread them out if you choose.

Tap the calendar button at the top of Today, then Create a schedule. Choose the compound, how often (daily, every few days, or chosen weekdays), the amount from your plan, and optionally steps that change after a number of weeks, weeks on and off, and a reminder time. Vialmetry only records the plan you enter.

Open Schedule and use Pause, Resume, Edit or Delete on its card. Deleting a schedule keeps every dose you have logged.

It records that you skipped the dose that was due, so Today moves on and the summary can count it. It does not draw down a vial. To undo it, open the skipped entry in History and delete it.

Check Settings → Reminders. Notification permission must be allowed; if it says Blocked, allow notifications for Vialmetry in your phone’s settings and tap Check again. The schedule needs “Remind me on dose days” switched on; a schedule made during first-time setup starts with it off.

Reminders are queued up to 120 days ahead and refreshed when you open the app, so a phone left unopened past that stops reminding. Reminders are a phone feature and do not work in a web browser.

Yes. Settings → Reminders → What a reminder shows on a locked screen → Say nothing.

On the History tab, tap the entry. You can change the amount (in mg), date, time, site and note, then Save changes. Delete this entry removes it and credits the amount back to the vial it came from.

Yes. The chips at the top of History filter by compound (when you use more than one) and by month. The summary figures follow the filter.

History → Summary. Choose the period (30 days, 90 days, 6 months or everything) and, if you like, add a name. Share printable summary makes a page that prints to PDF from any viewer; the doses and site notes can also be shared as spreadsheets (CSV).

Nothing is uploaded: the files go wherever you send them from the share sheet.

The printable summary is a web page file. Open it from the share sheet in a browser or files app and choose Print → Save as PDF.

On this device. Nothing leaves it unless you export a backup, share a summary, or turn on the optional private cloud copy. There are no adverts and no tracking.

Settings → Backup → Export a backup saves the whole log as a file you can keep or send to yourself. On the new phone, Import a backup reads that file.

Importing replaces everything on that phone; it does not merge. A recovery copy of what was there is saved first, and Undo last import is available until you leave Settings.

It is optional. Create an account in Settings → Private cloud sync with an email and a password of at least 8 characters. Then Create cloud copy stores one (afterwards the button reads Save this device to cloud), and Load cloud copy on this device brings it to another phone signed in to the same account.

It never syncs by itself: each save and load is one you choose, and each replaces the whole log rather than merging. Loading saves a local safety copy first, and a save is refused if another device changed the cloud copy since.

Settings → Private cloud sync. Sign out only affects this device. Delete cloud account removes the account and its cloud copy; the log on this device stays. Settings → About → How to delete your cloud account explains the same steps on the web.

Yes. Settings → Privacy → Require Face ID (Require biometric unlock on Android). The app then locks each time it goes to the background, with your device passcode as the fallback. It keeps others out of the app; it is not encryption. If the device has no Face ID or fingerprint set up, the app opens without asking.

Settings → Appearance. Choose a colour scheme (Warm amber, Spruce or Calm indigo) and a mode: System follows your phone, or pick Light or Dark.

Settings → Site rest and shelf life. Both take whole days and save when you leave the field.
